Chinese Yibing Wu edged out Swiss Marc-Andrea Huesler 6-4, 4-6, 7-6 (6) to advance to the second round of the Geneva Open at Tennis Club de Genève, Parc des Eaux-Vives on Monday evening.
Wu, ranked No 59, will face Italian Marco Cecchinato next.
