Ruud remains unbeaten in Geneva with ninth win in a row, meets Jarry next
The Norwegian won against J.J. Wolf 6-3, 7-5 on Wednesday and will play Nicolas Jarry in the next round
Casper Ruud, the top seed, reached the last eight of the Geneva Open by winning against American J.J. Wolf 6-3, 7-5 at Tennis Club de Genève, Parc des Eaux-Vives on Wednesday.
The Norwegian has never lost a match at this event, winning the title in 2021 and 2022. He has now won nine matches in a row in the Swiss city.
Ruud, ranked No 4 in the world, will face Chilean Nicolas Jarry, who upset Dutchman Tallon Griekspoor, the No 6 seed, in another second round match.
In the previous round of the Geneva tournament, Wolf, ranked No 49, defeated Hugo Dellien (6-4, 6-2).
