Austrian qualifier Sebastian Ofner reached the second round of the Geneva Open by defeating Australian Rinky Hijikata 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 at Tennis Club de Genève, Parc des Eaux-Vives on Monday.
Ofner, ranked No 45, will face second seed Casper Ruud next.
