Michelsen upsets Fritz in Geneva second round
Alex Michelsen edged out Taylor Fritz in three sets on Wednesday afternoon and will face Tomas Machac in the next round of the Gonet Geneva Open.

Alex Michelsen moved into the quarter-finals of the Geneva Open by edging out No 3 seed Taylor Fritz 6-4, 4-6, 7-5 at Tennis Club de Genève, Parc des Eaux-Vives on Wednesday.
Michelsen, ranked No 65, will face Tomas Machac next.
Michelsen also needed three sets against a fellow American in the first round, outlasting qualifier Aleksandar Kovacevic (3-6, 6-3, 6-4).
