Geneva Open: Jarry wins his third ATP title and peaks to rank No35
Nicolas Jarry won the final on Saturday against Grigor Dimitrov
Chilean Nicolas Jarry defeated Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov, the No 4 seed, 7-6 (1), 6-1 to win the Geneva Open title at Tennis Club de Genève, Parc des Eaux-Vives on Saturday.
It was the Chilean’s third ATP title in career after Bastad in 2019 and Santiago in 2023. He will be back at the Top 50 of the ATP rankings next Monday, peaking at No35.

Jarry had an wonderful fun in Switzerland, defeating three top players in the last rounds. Ranked No 54, he beat Serb Dusan Lajovic (6-4, 6-2), elimiated Dutchman Tallon Griekspoor, the No 6 seed (W/O), and defeated Norwegian Casper Ruud, the top seed (3-6, 7-6 (2), 7-5) and German Alexander Zverev, the No 3 seed (7-6 (3), 6-3) in the previous rounds of the Geneva tournament.
Earlier in the tournament, Dimitrov, ranked No 33, beat Spaniard Roberto Carballes Baena (6-1, 6-4), Australian Christopher O’Connell (6-7 (5), 7-5, 6-4) and American Taylor Fritz, the second seed (3-6, 7-5, 7-6 (2)).
Dimitrov was playing his first final since 2018 Rotterdam (lost to Federer) and was chasing his first ATP title since the ATP finals in 2017. Jarry defeated him twice in two attempts.
