Geneva Open: Dimitrov edges out Fritz to make first final since 2018
Grigor Dimitrov edged out Taylor Fritz 3-6, 7-5, 7-6 (2) on Friday afternoon and will play the winner of the match between Chilean Nicolas Jarry and German Alexander Zverev, the No 3 seed, for the title
Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov, the No 4 seed, reached the final of the Geneva Open by edging out American Taylor Fritz, the second seed, 3-6, 7-5, 7-6 (2) at Tennis Club de Genève, Parc des Eaux-Vives on Friday afternoon.
Dimitrov, ranked No 33, will face the winner of the match between Chilean Nicolas Jarry and German Alexander Zverev, the No 3 seed, next.

In the previous rounds of the Geneva tournament, the Bulgarian won against Spaniard Roberto Carballes Baena (6-1, 6-4) and edged out Australian Christopher O’Connell (6-7 (5), 7-5, 6-4).
Fritz, ranked No 9, beat Marcos Giron (4-6, 6-2, 6-3) and Belarusian Ilya Ivashka (6-1, 6-2) earlier in the tournament.
