Generali Open: Gaston edges past Altmaier to reach second round

Frenchman Hugo Gaston moved into the second round of the Generali Open by edging out German Daniel Altmaier 6-4, 6-7 (5), 6-4 at Kitzbühel Tennis Club in Kitzbuhel.

Gaston, ranked No 91, will face the winner of the match between Hungarian Marton Fucsovics and Spaniard Roberto Carballes Baena, the No 7 seed, next.
