Gaston into Kitzbuhel final as Diaz pulls out

Frenchman Hugo Gaston moved into the final of the Generali Open when Argentinian Facundo Diaz Acosta retired at Kitzbühel Tennis Club in Kitzbuhel on Friday afternoon.
Gaston, ranked No 91, led 6-1, 2-0 when Acosta, ranked No 77, pulled out at Kitzbühel Tennis Club in Kitzbuhel on Friday.
The Frenchman will play Italian Matteo Berrettini next.
Ahead of his victory, Hugo Gaston defeated German Daniel Altmaier (6-4, 6-7 (5), 6-4), Spaniard Roberto Carballes Baena, the No 7 seed (6-2, 7-6 (5)) and Argentinian Sebastian Baez, the top seed (7-5, 5-7, 7-6 (6)).
The Argentinian won against Federico Coria (2-6, 6-3, 6-0), Colombian qualifier Daniel Elahi Galan (6-2, 4-6, 6-3) and Spaniard Pedro Martinez, the No 4 seed (6-7 (2), 6-3, 6-4) in the previous rounds of the Kitzbuhel tournament.
