Italian Matteo Berrettini won against American wildcard Nicolas Moreno De Alboran 7-6 (5), 6-3 to move into the last 4 of the Generali Open at Kitzbühel Tennis Club in Kitzbuhel on Thursday.
Berrettini, ranked No 50, will face German Yannick Hanfmann next.
Ahead of his victory, the Italian beat Russian Pavel Kotov (7-6 (6), 7-6 (5)) and Chilean Alejandro Tabilo, the second seed (7-6 (4), 7-6 (5)).
Moreno De Alboran, ranked No 143, defeated Argentinian qualifier Andrea Collarini (6-4, 6-4) and Austrian wildcard Lukas Neumayer (6-4, 6-4) in the previous rounds of the Kitzbuhel tournament.
