Italian Matteo Berrettini defeated Chilean Alejandro Tabilo, the second seed, 7-6 (4), 7-6 (5) to advance to the quarter-finals of the Generali Open at Kitzbühel Tennis Club in Kitzbuhel on Wednesday afternoon.
Berrettini, ranked No 50, will face American wildcard Nicolas Moreno De Alboran next.
The Italian won against Russian Pavel Kotov (7-6 (6), 7-6 (5)) ahead of his victory.
