Generali Open: Eighth seed Altmaier into second round

German Daniel Altmaier, the No 8 seed, moved into the second round of the Generali Open by edging out Swiss Marc-Andrea Huesler 6-7 (5), 6-2, 6-4 at Kitzbühel Tennis Club in Kitzbuhel on Tuesday.

Altmaier, ranked No 51, will face Colombian Daniel Elahi Galan next.
