Former Wimbledon runner-up Raonic set to return on the tour on grass in June
The Canadian’s last tournament came at Atlanta in July 2021, when he was ranked 22nd in the world and lost in the second round
Tennis fans can look forward to another big comeback in the coming weeks with former Wimbledon runner-up Milos Raonic scheduled to return to the tour during the grass court season in June.
The Canadian is the second former top 5 player to return to the tour after a long absence following Japan’s Kei Nishikori, who is scheduled to return later this month by competing on the ATP Challenger Tour.
The big-serving Raonic is on the entry list for the ATP 250 event in ‘s-Hertogenbosch. The Canadian will use his protected ranking of No 33 in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, which will be his first tournament since July 2021.
HIs last tournament came at Atlanta, when he was ranked 22nd in the world, and ended in a second round loss to Brandon Nakashima, capping his injury-plagued season with a 7-5 record.
The 32-year-old Raonic, who has a 372-175 win-loss record on the pro tour, has won eight ATP singles titles during his career so far and lost in the Wimbledon final in 2016 to Andy Murray.
