Florence Open: Nakashima advances to second round, dismantling Gasquet
Brandon Nakashima defeated Richard Gasquet 6-2, 6-2 on Tuesday evening and will play Turk qualifier Altug Celikbilek in the next round

American Brandon Nakashima, the No 8 seed, advanced to the second round of the Florence Open by winning against Frenchman Richard Gasquet 6-2, 6-2 at the Palazzo Wanny on Tuesday evening.
Nakashima, ranked No 46, will face Turk qualifier Altug Celikbilek next.
