Alexander Bublik, the No 7 seed, advanced to the second round of the Florence Open by defeating Chile’s Cristian Garin 7-5, 6-2 at the Palazzo Wanny on Tuesday.
The win was Bublik’s 100th win on the ATP Tour in his career, marking a milestone for the 25-year-old Kazakh who is ranked No 43 in the world.
