Florence Open: Auger-Aliassime advances to semi-finals, Musetti next
Felix Auger-Aliassime beat Brandon Nakashima 6-3, 6-4 on Friday evening
Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime, the top seed, beat American Brandon Nakashima, the No 8 seed, 6-3, 6-4 to reach the last four of the Florence Open at the Palazzo Wanny on Friday evening.
Auger-Aliassime, ranked No 13, will play Italian Lorenzo Musetti, the No 3 seed, next. The other semi-final will be J.J. Wolf against Mikael Ymer.
In the previous round of the Florence, the 22-year-old Canadian won against German Oscar Otte (6-4, 6-7 (2), 6-2).
Nakashima, ranked No 46, defeated Frenchman Richard Gasquet (6-2, 6-2) and Turk qualifier Altug Celikbilek (6-3, 6-4) earlier in the tournament.
