European Open: Lehecka books spot in final
Jiri Lehecka defeated Marcos Giron 6-3, 4-6, 6-2 on Saturday evening and will face Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut for the title
No 5 seed Jiri Lehecka won against American Marcos Giron, the No 8 seed, 6-3, 4-6, 6-2 to reach the final of the European Open at the Lotto Arena in Antwerp on Saturday evening.
Lehecka, ranked No 33, will face Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut next.
In the previous rounds of the Antwerp Open, Jiri Lehecka defeated Spaniard Jaume Munar (6-1, 6-4), German Daniel Altmaier (6-4, 6-3) and Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas, the second seed (6-4, 6-4).
Giron, ranked No 47, beat Dutchman Botic van de Zandschulp (6-4, 6-1), Frenchman Arthur Rinderknech (7-6 (6), 7-6 (4)) and Belgian Zizou Bergs (6-2, 6-2) earlier in the tournament.
