Belgian wildcard David Goffin defeated Frenchman Quentin Halys 6-4, 6-1 to move into the second round of the European Open at the Lotto Arena in Antwerp on Monday evening.
Goffin, ranked No 105, will play the winner of the match between Spaniard Roberto Carballes Baena, the No 6 seed, and French qualifier Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard next.
