Estoril Open: Top seed Ruud through to quarter-finals

Norwegian Casper Ruud, the top seed, moved into the last eight of the Estoril Open by beating Dutchman Botic van de Zandschulp 6-1, 6-2 at Clube de Ténis do Estoril on Thursday.

Ruud, ranked No 8, will play the winner of the match between Hungarian Marton Fucsovics and Frenchman Gael Monfils, the No 7 seed, next.

Van de Zandschulp, ranked No 87, won against Argentinian Federico Coria (6-4, 4-6, 6-1) in the previous round of the Estoril tournament.
