Spaniard Pedro Martinez beat German Daniel Altmaier 6-4, 6-2 to move into the second round of the Estoril Open at Clube de Ténis do Estoril on Wednesday.
Martinez, ranked No 77, will face Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut next.
