Eastbourne Open: Vukic beats Nishioka to reach last four

Australian lucky loser Aleksandar Vukic edged out Japanese qualifier Yoshihito Nishioka 6-3, 3-6, 7-6 (5) to move into the semi-finals of the Eastbourne Open at the Devonshire Park Lawn Tennis Club.
Vukic, ranked No 81, will face the winner of the match between American Taylor Fritz, the top seed, and Chinese qualifier Juncheng Shang next.
The Australian beat Hungarian Fabian Marozsan (6-2, 6-4) and Kazakh Alexander Bublik, the No 3 seed (6-4, 6-4) ahead of his victory.
Earlier in the tournament, Nishioka, ranked No 102, won against wildcard Liam Broady (6-3, 6-4) and American Marcos Giron (6-7 (8), 6-4, 6-2).
