Eastbourne Open: Shang battles past Etcheverry to reach second round
Juncheng Shang edged out Etcheverry 7-5, 3-6, 7-6 (4) and will play the winner of the match between Cameron Norrie and Emil Ruusuvuori in the next round
Chinese qualifier Juncheng Shang edged out Argentinian Tomas Martin Etcheverry, the No 7 seed, 7-5, 3-6, 7-6 (4) to reach the second round of the Eastbourne Open at the Devonshire Park Lawn Tennis Club.
Shang, ranked No 104, will play the winner of the match between Cameron Norrie and Finn Emil Ruusuvuori next.
