Eastbourne Open: Purcell moves into last eight
Max Purcell beat Lorenzo Sonego 6-4, 6-4 on Wednesday afternoon and will play Serb Miomir Kecmanovic in the next round

Australian qualifier Max Purcell moved into the last eight of the Eastbourne Open by winning against Italian Lorenzo Sonego 6-4, 6-4 at the Devonshire Park Lawn Tennis Club on Wednesday afternoon.
Purcell, ranked No 94, will play Serb Miomir Kecmanovic next.
The Australian defeated Serb Laslo Djere (6-1, 4-6, 6-3) ahead of his victory.
In the previous round of the Eastbourne tournament, Sonego, ranked No 57, beat lucky loser Henry Searle (6-3, 6-2).
