American Tommy Paul, the second seed, won against Argentinian Sebastian Baez 6-1, 7-6 (7) to move into the last eight of the Eastbourne Open at the Devonshire Park Lawn Tennis Club.
Paul, ranked No 17, will face American J.J. Wolf next.
Baez, ranked No 44, defeated Portuguese Nuno Borges (6-3, 6-4) in the previous round of the Eastbourne tournament.
