Dutch Open: Thompson takes out Mannarino to move into semi-finals

‘Australian Jordan Thompson won against Frenchman Adrian Mannarino 5-7, 7-6 (2), 6-2 to move into the semi-finals of the Dutch Open at the Autotron Rosmalen in ‘s-Hertogenbosch on Friday afternoon.
Thompson, ranked No 103, will play Australian lucky loser Rinky Hijikata next.
The Australian defeated French qualifier Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard (6-4, 7-6 (3)) and Canadian Milos Raonic (7-6 (4), 6-1) ahead of his victory.
Earlier in the tournament, Mannarino, ranked No 52, beat qualifier Arthur Fils (7-6 (1), 6-4) and Russian Daniil Medvedev, the top seed (4-6, 6-4, 6-2).
