Australian Jordan Thompson moved into the last 8 of the Dutch Open by defeating Canadian Milos Raonic 7-6 (4), 6-1 at the Autotron Rosmalen in s-Hertogenbosch on Thursday evening.
Thompson, ranked No 103, will play Frenchman Adrian Mannarino next.
In the previous round of the Rosmalen, the Australian won against French qualifier Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard (6-4, 7-6 (3)).
Milos Raonic beat Serb Miomir Kecmanovic, the No 5 seed (6-3, 6-4) in the previous round of the’s-Hertogenbosch tournament.
