Australian Jordan Thompson defeated French qualifier Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard 6-4, 7-6 (3) to move into the second round of the Dutch Open at the Autotron Rosmalen in s-Hertogenbosch on Tuesday.
Thompson, ranked No 103, will face Canadian Milos Raonic next.
