Dutch Open: Returning Raonic reaches second round in first match since 2021
Milos Raonic won against Miomir Kecmanovic 6-3, 6-4 on Monday afternoon and will face the winner of the match between Australian Jordan Thompson and French qualifier Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard in the next round
Canadian Milos Raonic advanced to the second round of the Dutch Open by beating Serb Miomir Kecmanovic, the No 5 seed, 6-3, 6-4 at the Autotron Rosmalen in s-Hertogenbosch on Monday afternoon.
It was his first match since Atlanta 2021 and this is his first tour-level win since he beat Ugo Humbert in Miami in March 2021.
Incredibly, this is his first match on grass in four years – since the fourth round of Wimbledon 2019, where he lost to Guido Pella.
Milos Raonic will play the winner of the match between Australian Jordan Thompson and French qualifier Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard next.
