American Mackenzie McDonald won against Croat Borna Coric, the No 3 seed, 6-4, 6-4 to move into the last 8 of the Dutch Open at the Autotron Rosmalen in s-Hertogenbosch on Wednesday.
McDonald, ranked No 68, will play Australian lucky loser Rinky Hijikata next.
The American defeated Belarusian Ilya Ivashka (6-4, 6-3) in the previous round of the’s-Hertogenbosch tournament.
