Dutch Open: Local wild card Tim van Rijthoven continues dream week to reach semis

Dutch wildcard Tim van Rijthoven continued his dream run by reaching the semi-finals of the Dutch Open with a straight sets win over Frenchman Hugo Gaston at the Autotron Rosmalen on Friday.
Ranked No 205 in the world, Rijthoven won 7-6 [2], 6-4 in one hour and 22 minutes. The Dutchman had never won an ATP level match prior to this week.
He will next meet either fifth seed Karen Khachanov, of Russia, or second seed Felix Auger-Aliassime, of Canada, in the semis.
The semi-final result has assured Tim van Rijthoven of moving to the top 160 next week and he could get to the edge of the top 100 with a title in Rosmalen.
