Dubai Open: Tsitsipas knocks out Berrettini to make semi-finals
Stefanos Tsitsipas edged out Matteo Berrettini 7-6 (5), 1-6, 6-4 on Thursday evening. He’ll play Dutchman Tallon Griekspoor in the next round

Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas, the No 4 seed, edged out Italian Matteo Berrettini 7-6 (5), 1-6, 6-4 to reach the last four of the Dubai Open at the Aviation Club Tennis Centre on Thursday evening.
Tsitsipas, ranked No 11, will play Dutchman Tallon Griekspoor next.
The Greek won against Italian Lorenzo Sonego (7-6 (4), 6-3) and edged out Russian Karen Khachanov (7-6 (4), 2-6, 6-4) in the previous rounds of the Dubai tournament.
Earlier in the tournament, Berrettini, ranked No 30, defeated Frenchman Gael Monfils (7-5, 6-4) and Australian qualifier Christopher O’Connell (7-6 (2), 6-2).
