Dubai Open: Griekspoor into second round

Dutchman Tallon Griekspoor edged out Russian qualifier Roman Safiullin 5-7, 7-6 (4), 7-6 (1) to advance to the second round of the Dubai Open at the Aviation Club Tennis Centre on Tuesday afternoon.

Griekspoor, ranked No 47, will play the winner of the match between Jiri Lehecka and Frenchman Ugo Humbert, the No 5 seed, next.
