Spaniard Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, the No 8 seed, beat Hungarian Fabian Marozsan 6-3, 4-6, 6-1 to move into the second round of the Dubai Open at the Aviation Club Tennis Centre on Tuesday.
Davidovich Fokina, ranked No 24, will play the winner of the match between Jakub Mensik and Croat Borna Coric next.
