Qatar Open: Van De Zandschulp advances to second round

Dutch qualifier Botic van de Zandschulp defeated Jordanian wildcard Abdullah Shelbayh 7-5, 6-3 to reach the second round of the Qatar Open at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex in Doha.

Van De Zandschulp, ranked No 87, will face Australian Alex De Minaur, the second seed, next.
