No 4 seed Daniil Medvedev moved into the second round of the Qatar Open by winning against Karen Khachanov 4-6, 7-5, 6-3 at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex in Doha.
Medvedev, ranked No 6, will play Belgian Zizou Bergs next.
