No 3 seed Alex Michelsen reached the quarter-finals of the Delray Beach Open when qualifier Michael Mmoh retired on Wednesday at the Delray Beach Stadium and Tennis Center.
Michelsen, ranked No 37, led 6-7 (8), 3-0 when Mmoh, ranked No 328, pulled out.
Alex Michelsen will face Cameron Norrie next.
In the previous round of the Delray Beach tournament, Michael Mmoh defeated Kazakh Alexander Shevchenko (7-5, 7-6 (5)).
