American Mackenzie McDonald advanced to the second round of the Delray Beach Open by beating Japanese Taro Daniel 6-2, 6-2 at the Delray Beach Stadium and Tennis Center on Tuesday evening.
McDonald, ranked No 56, will face Japanese Yoshihito Nishioka, the No 5 seed, next.
