Delray Beach Open: Kecmanovic into last eight after Nishioka withdraws

Miomir Kecmanovic benefited from the forfeit of Yoshihito Nishioka on Wednesday evening. He’ll face the winner of the match between lucky loser Ethan Quinn and No 5 seed Marcos Giron in the next round

Serb Miomir Kecmanovic, the No 7 seed, reached the last eight of the Delray Beach Open after Japanese Yoshihito Nishioka withdrew before the match at the Delray Beach Stadium and Tennis Center on Wednesday evening.

Kecmanovic, ranked No 56, will face the winner of the match between lucky loser Ethan Quinn and No 5 seed Marcos Giron next.

In the previous round of the Delray Beach tournament, the Serb won against Croat Borna Gojo (6-4, 6-4).

Nishioka, ranked No 63, defeated Australian Aleksandar Vukic (6-3, 6-4) during the first round of the Delray Beach tournament.
