Marcos Giron defeated wildcard Emilio Nava 6-4, 7-6 (5) to advance to the second round of the Delray Beach Open at the Delray Beach Stadium and Tennis Center.
Giron, ranked No 52, will play No 4 seed Adrian Mannarino next.
