Portuguese Nuno Borges won against Canadian lucky loser Gabriel Diallo 6-4, 7-6 (1) to advance to the second round of the Delray Beach Open at the Delray Beach Stadium and Tennis Center on Monday night.
Borges, ranked No 46, will face top seed Taylor Fritz next.
