Dallas Open: Wu reaches quarter-finals, defeating Shapovalov

Chinese Yibing Wu beat Canadian Denis Shapovalov, the No 3 seed, 7-6 (1), 6-4 to move into the last eight of the Dallas Open at the Styslinger/Altec Tennis Complex on Wednesday night.
Wu, ranked No 97, will face the winner of the match between Australian Jordan Thompson and Frenchman Adrian Mannarino, the No 8 seed, next.
Ahead of his victory, the Chinese, won against American Michael Mmoh (6-3, 3-6, 6-3).
