Dallas Open: Wolf makes semi-finals, defeating Tiafoe
J.J. Wolf edged out Frances Tiafoe 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 on Friday
No 6 seed J.J. Wolf moved into the semi-finals of the Dallas Open by edging out second seed Frances Tiafoe 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 at the Styslinger/Altec Tennis Complex on Friday.
Wolf, ranked No 43, will face the winner of the match between American John Isner, the No 5 seed, and Ecuadorian Emilio Gomez next.
In the previous round of the Dallas tournament. J.J. Wolf won against qualifier Brandon Holt (6-3, 6-3) and Radu Albot (6-3, 7-6 (5)). Tiafoe, ranked No 14, beat Mackenzie McDonald (6-1, 6-3).
