American wildcard Jack Sock moved into the second round of the Dallas Open by edging out Belarusian Ilya Ivashka 7-6 (2), 4-6, 6-4 at the Styslinger/Altec Tennis Complex on Tuesday night.
Sock, ranked No 141, will face top seed Taylor Fritz next.
