Australian Jordan Thompson, the No 7 seed, reached the second round of the Dallas Open by winning against American wildcard Adam Neff 6-3, 6-1 at the Styslinger/Altec Tennis Complex on Tuesday.
Thompson, ranked No 44, will face the winner of the match between American lucky loser Denis Kudla and Radu Albot next.
