Japanese left-hander Yoshihito Nishioka defeated American Frances Tiafoe, the No 5 seed, 3-6, 6-4, 6-3 to move into the last eight of the Dallas Open at the Ford Center at The Star on Thursday.

“I didn’t know how I beat [him] today,” Nishioka during his post-match press conference, referencing his slow start. “I got a little bit tired [in] my body so I cannot run like usual…. I wasn’t expected to win today, but I found a way for the second set.”
