American lucky loser Denis Kudla won against Radu Albot 6-3, 7-6 (3) to move into the second round of the Dallas Open at the Styslinger/Altec Tennis Complex.
Kudla, ranked No 174, will face Australian Jordan Thompson, the No 7 seed, next.
