Spaniard Alejandro Davidovich Fokina defeated American qualifier Brandon Holt 6-1, 7-5 to advance to the second round of the Dallas Open at the Ford Center at The Star on Monday.
Davidovich Fokina, ranked No 59, will face the winner of the match between Italian Matteo Arnaldi, the No 8 seed, and American qualifier Christopher Eubanks next.
