Russian Andrey Rublev, the top seed, defeated Hungarian Fabian Marozsan 5-7, 6-3, 6-2 to reach the semi-finals of the Croatia Open at the ITC Stella Maris in Umag on Thursday evening.
Rublev, ranked No 9, will face Argentinian Francisco Cerundolo, the No 4 seed, next.
The Russian won against Argentinian Camilo Ugo Carabelli (6-4, 7-5) in the previous round of the Umag tournament.
In the previous rounds of the Umag tournament, Marozsan, ranked No 49, edged out Kazakh Alexander Shevchenko (6-4, 4-6, 7-6 (8)) and won against Brazilian Thiago Monteiro (6-2, 7-6 (7)).
