Croatia Open: Marozsan beats Monteiro to reach quarter-finals

Hungarian Fabian Marozsan won against Brazilian Thiago Monteiro 6-2, 7-6 (7) to advance to the last eight of the Croatia Open at the ITC Stella Maris in Umag.
Marozsan, ranked No 49, will play Russian Andrey Rublev, the top seed, next.
The Hungarian edged out Kazakh Alexander Shevchenko (6-4, 4-6, 7-6 (8)) ahead of his victory.
In the previous round of the Umag tournament, Monteiro, ranked No 79, edged out No 7 seed Tomas Machac (3-6, 6-3, 6-4).
