Top seed Jiri Lehecka defeated Austrian Dominic Thiem 6-3, 7-5 to move into the quarter-finals of the Croatia Open at the ITC Stella Maris in Umag on Thursday.
Lehecka, ranked No 33, will face No 7 seed Matteo Arnaldi next.
In the previous round of the Umag tournament, Thiem, ranked No 112, won against Argentinian qualifier Facundo Bagnis (6-4, 7-5).
