Croatia Open: Cerundolo upsets top seed Rublev to reach final

Argentinian Francisco Cerundolo, the No 4 seed, reached the final of the Croatia Open by beating Russian Andrey Rublev, the top seed, 7-6 (6), 6-4 at the ITC Stella Maris in Umag on Friday evening.
Cerundolo, ranked No 37, will face the winner of the match between Jakub Mensik and Italian Lorenzo Musetti, the second seed, next.
The Argentinian won against Croat wildcard Matej Dodig (6-3, 6-4) and edged out Italian Lorenzo Sonego (6-4, 2-6, 7-6 (2)) in the previous rounds of the Umag tournament.
Earlier in the tournament, Rublev, ranked No 9, won against Argentinian Camilo Ugo Carabelli (6-4, 7-5) and Hungarian Fabian Marozsan (5-7, 6-3, 6-2).
